Age On! A Series on Growing Older, Better

How can we prepare for the difficult decisions and conversations surrounding end of life decisions? In the second presentation of the Wisconsin Academy's 2012 Age On! Series of free, public talks, three Wisconsin doctors share unique perspectives on end-of-life planning and issues. Featured speakers are John D. (Jack) Swanson, MD; Lee M. Vogel, MD; and Norma Turk, MD. Dr. Swanson, who practices at at Fox Valley Hematology & Oncology, SC, specializes in palliative care, which provides comfort by treating the patient’s symptoms and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Dr. Vogel serves on the faculty of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health; her special interests include geriatrics and medical ethics. Dr. Turk also serves on the faculty of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and is board-certified in internal medicine as well as hospice and palliative medicine.
