Marsha McDonald

Marsha McDonald was born in Toledo, Ohio. As a child, she attended art classes, first at a convent, then at the Toledo Museum of Art. In high school, she was awarded a National Honorable Mention by the Scholastic Writing Awards, as well as an Ohio Governor’s Art Award. She received her BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. While in school, she was the recipient of a Tyrone Guthrie Theatre Grant to aid study of pilgrim symbols at Clonmacnois, Ireland.

S.V. Medaris

S.V. (Sue) Medaris lives on a farm in the Driftless area of Southern Wisconsin with her family, and raises chickens, dogs, cats, peafowl, turkeys, and pigs from which she draws inspiration for life and art.

Lon Michels

Lon Michels has been painting from life for over 45 years, and uses color and pattern to capture the essence or personality of each individual or subject he paints. Michels recently received his MFA from UW-Madison and was nominated for a Joan Mitchell grant in 2007. In his words, “My work questions the history of religion and the objectification of women and men in society, examining the role of male and female beauty. Painting is my passion; I breathe to paint and paint to breathe.

Trent Miller

Trent Miller grew up in Indiana and earned an MFA in painting at Boston University. He currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife, young son, a small zoo of animals, and an overactive imagination. His work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows throughout the United States.

John Miller

John Miller lives with his wife Faith and their dog Callie a short portage from the water in Madison, Wisconsin. Much of his professional time is spent helping clients to explain ideas with images. The rest of his creative time is spent expressing his own thoughts and feelings through art, notions that can be hinted at but might not be fully explainable. John has degrees in art and zoology, and both science and art shape his artistic world view.

Kevin Miyazaki

Kevin J. Miyazaki is a photographer whose work appears in a wide variety of publications, including Bon Appétit, ESPN, Reader's Digest, GQ, and AARP. His artwork focuses on themes of family history, memory, and architectural space. He lives in Wauwatosa.

Laura Monahan

Laura Monahan is the Curator of Collections at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Zoological Museum.  She is also a member of the Wisconsin Federation of Museums Board and Vice President of the Friends of UW-Madison Libraries Board.  

Richard Moninski

Richard Moninski earned an M.F.A. from the University at Albany (SUNY), a B.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and undertook additional training in surface design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. His drawings and paintings have been exhibited nationally.
