Lee Weiss

Since 1959, when Weiss began to focus intently on her painting career, she has had over 125 solo shows. The recipient of several individual honors and awards, Weiss has also participated in numerous group and invitational shows. For various time periods between 1969-1975 Weiss had a total of three paintings on display in the White House Rotating Exhibition Program, all selected by the Smithsonian Institution.

Allison Welch

Allison Welch received a MFA in Photography from the University of Iowa and a BFA in Photography from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including Minneapolis, Vermont, Portland, Poland, the United Kingdom and Italy.  She currently teaches Photography at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Linda Wervey Vitamvas

A native of the Milwaukee area, Linda Wervey Vitamvas earned her B.S. in Nursing from UW-Milwaukee and practiced psychiatric, obstetrical and surgical nursing for much of her life. A persistent love of art has led her to integrate her scientific knowledge and experiences with her study of art. She has studied art in non-traditional settings, both locally and abroad, for many years and formalized her education by earning M.A. and M.F.A. degrees from UW-Milwaukee.

Glenn Williams

Glenn Williams (Madison) received his M.F.Adegree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a specialization in Sculpture. In his work he explores various social constructs and their impact on our perceived realities. He deconstructs, reconstructs, and sometimes simply reflects various accepted mores to expose how they shape our understanding of the world around us and influence our interactions on a social, political, and environmental level.

Jeremy Wineberg

Jeremy Wineberg is a designer, educator, and visual artist working in painting, drawing, sculpture, video, and installation media. He grew up in Pennsylvania and studied art at the University of Delaware. Wineberg’s work stretches imagination and experience by connecting everyday observations of snowflakes, leaf piles, cardboard, maps, and tree branches with larger events like time, space, and gravity.

Ida Wyman

Ida Wyman began working at Acme Newspictures (later UPI) as a “mail room boy” in 1943 in a field that was almost entirely dominated by men. With much of the male staff joining the military during World War II, she achieved great success in the company and became the agency's first female printer. Wyman left Acme in 1945 to freelance for major publications such as Business WeekThis WeekCollier'sLife, and Fortune.

Yong Cheng Yang

Yong Cheng Yang (Yong Cha) is the primary Visitor Services Associate for the James Watrous Gallery. She is currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, majoring in Kinesiology. She is fluent in Hmong and English. You can find her at the gallery desk on most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
