Zack is the Director of Development at the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters and brings 30 years of development, corporate relations and networking experience to the role. While Zack was born in Washington, DC, and met his wife Laila there, he grew up in New England and received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bates College and Master’s degree in Management from the University of Maryland. He is a midwesterner at heart and has never felt more at home then he does in Wisconsin. He and Laila moved to Madison (where she grew up) in the early 1990s, while she was in graduate school, and again in 2009 to raise their two sons. He has served in a variety of leadership and development roles for the University of Maryland, Duke University, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Arts Institute, the Morgridge Institute for Research, the Wisconsin Science Museum, and most recently as Development Director for the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestras. Zack and his family enjoy travel, music, art, theater, sports, camping, boating and Wisconsin’s wide-range of foods and festivals.
