Silke Schmidt is a Madison-based science writer for UW–Madison. She has also written about energy, medical research, education, economics and the environment for UW–Milwaukee, North Carolina State University and the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism. Her multimedia work has appeared in Madison Magazine and on Wisconsin Public Radio.
