
Joanna K. Dane is the creator of A Terminal Case of Whimsy, a 1000-post collection of writings, drawings, photos, music, and videos; a modern take on the ancient Japanese literary tradition of zuihitsu. She is a co-founder of The 602 Club, a neighborhood social club focusing on enriching local connections; and Imagine City Park, a neighborhood festival celebrating art and play. Dane makes Neighborhood Core movies with collaborator Len Borruso and improvisational music with bandmates Tad Neuhaus, Loren Dempster, and Matt Turner. She taught creative engagement and mindful learning for six years as a guest artist at Renaissance High School for the Arts in Appleton where she also has one of her poems stamped on the sidewalk.
