Dr. Christine Kelly is a leader in transformative learning practices and founder of the Midwest Regional Collaborative for Sustainability Education. As an aspiring educational artist, Christine enjoys using complex systems thinking to design learning landscapes into all facets of our lives. She regularly works with environmental organizations and local communities seeking to rethink our approach to change.
After over 25 years working in the environmental and sustainability field, Christine has shifted her focus from designing sustainability practices to fostering connected caring communities from which these sustainability behaviors emerge. Integrating her backgrounds in cognitive psychology, play theory, and complex systems thinking; Christine uses her habits of mind for transformation to create innovative learning spaces that become fertile ground for the yet-to-be imagined ideas of our sustainable future.
Christine now calls the shores of Lake Superior home, as she works towards food and energy independence – and the mastery of three-month agility vegetable gardening (regularly hoping for a late fall frost!!).
