The opening session of Climate Fast Forward features remarks from the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Academy, Erika Monroe-Kane, remarks from presenting sponsor American Family Insurance, and an opening poem by Dee Sweet. Dr. Kyle Whyte delivers the keynote address, followed by a ceremony from the Menominee Nation, marking the start of an important event focused on climate action.
Erika Monroe-Kane is the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters. At the Wisconsin Academy, she leads efforts to connect people and ideas through art, science, and culture, fostering civil discourse and creative exploration across the state.
Kyle Whyte is George Willis Pack Professor of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan.
