
Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI—once listed as the worst city in America to raise a Black child— Montré J. Moore has defied the odds from his origins. A devoted father to two wonderful children, Montré is an unwavering advocate for urban environmentalism and a catalyst for positive change within his community.
With nearly 20 years of experience in Corporate America, Montré has built a robust career as a solutions-focused executive. His expertise spans executive management, environmental justice, project management, environmental equity planning, government relations, and market development, with a deep commitment to the states of the Midwest.
Montré’s career highlights include:
- Engagement, Capacity Building, and Leadership Cultivation: He has successfully surveyed members for best practices, developed accessible curriculums, and facilitated peer learning opportunities that empower young people and promote equity and inclusion.
- Fostering Diverse Voices and Community-Driven Solutions: Montré has a proven track record of fostering diverse voices within coalitions, championing community-driven solutions, and enhancing participation in organized groups.
- Integrating Environmental Justice and Community Groups: He has effectively integrated environmental justice, frontline, affordable housing, and community groups into technical work streams.
- Recruitment and Outreach: Montré has led equity outreach across the Midwest, coordinated marketing participation in coalitions, and developed ambitious recruitment programs, ensuring a steady flow of new members.
- Group Management and Leadership Development: He has collaborated with policy managers for orientation, leadership development, and key management practices, coaching leaders and teams on organizing and leadership development.
- Curriculum Development: Montré has designed and implemented training materials, workshops, and webinars, uplifting directly impacted voices and fostering coalition-wide education.
In addition to his professional achievements, Montré is a dedicated social justice activist. Since joining the Waukesha County NAACP in 2004, where he currently serves as 1st Vice President, he has gained invaluable experience, serving on numerous committees and boards nationwide. Montré is committed to standing as a role model for the youth of Black America, representing millions of individuals without a voice through his work.
