Ohe∙láku - Among the Cornstalks is a non-profit cooperative created by Oneida community members. Ohe∙láku grows heirloom Tuscarora White Corn on the Oneida Reservation near Green Bay. Their corn is unique as it cannot be commercially grown. Each cob must be harvested by hand and then husked, leaving 3 leaves to braid. Then the corn is hung to dry until February. Please join Ohe∙láku in the circle at Climate Fast Forward to learn how to husk and braid while having a conversation about their corn and Indigenous Food Sovereignty.
