
Christopher Chambers is a former editor of Wisconsin People & Ideas, the Academy’s quarterly magazine of Wisconsin thought and culture. He is the past editor of Black Warrior Review, New Orleans Review, and founding editor of Midwest Review. He taught writing, editing, and publishing courses for 30 years at the University of Alabama, Xavier University, Loyola University New Orleans, and UW-Madison, and he currently teaches with the Madison Writers' Studio and the Wisconsin Prison Humanities Project. He is a graduate of UW-River Falls, who returned to Wisconsin in 2015 after a long sojourn in the South. He lives in Madison with his wife, an old rescue dog, and a couple backyard chickens, and has been spending a lot of time lately in Milwaukee.
