
Dan Vimont is a Professor in the Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Department at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He is also Director of the Nelson Institute's Center for Climatic Research, co-director of the Wisconsin Intiative on Climate Change Impact (WICCI), and a former Bryson Distinguished Professor of Climate, People, and the Environment. His research uses theory, models and observations to better understand how our climate varies. His work with WICCI and CCR focuses on helping people around Wisconsin anticipate and plan for expected climate change.
