
Thom is an intern on the Wisconsin Academy’s Initiatives team. A native Wisconsinite, Thom grew up Portage, Wisconsin. While attending college at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, he discovered his passion for environmental work. From there, Thom earned a Master’s from the University of Adelaide in Australia, where he completed his thesis analyzing the US Northwest Forest Plan. Since graduate school, Thom has worked as an environmental science instructor at the ITT Technical Institute and completed wetland and prairie restoration projects outside of Chicago, IL.
During his free team he loves to watch movies, read, play cards, and play golf and Ultimate Frisbee.
