Carole Roche is a freelance writer who writes historical pieces and human-interest stories. Roche believes that we should not only learn from the past, but also give recognition to those who strive to retain cultural and artistic traditions. To this end, she has dedicated herself to the preservation of her father's Depression Era and World War II photographs, currently on display at the River Arts Gallery in Sauk City. She lives in Madison with her rat terrier, Bud, and a yellow cat named Fozz.
