Mike Coughlin's primary business is letterpress wedding invitations and birth announcements, and he also carries on the tradition of publishing broadsides and pamphlets that reflect his personal and political concerns. Coughlin's shop incorporates a linotype machine, a technology introduced in the 1880s that casts whole lines of type at once, and he occasionally makes his own paper, too.
